India’s celebrated spiritual, travel and food blogger Baba KaranVeeR has added another remarkable milestone to his global journey by completing his 550th city, making him the youngest Indian travel blogger to do so. Known for completing 100 countries last year, Baba continues to chart cities with the same passion and devotion he gives to cultures, spirituality, food and wildlife around the world.

Choosing Kanchipuram—the ancient spiritual capital of Tamil Nadu and popularly known as the City of 1000 Temples—for this landmark was no coincidence.

“I wanted Kanchipuram to be my 550th city. It’s one of the most divine places in India. Literally every street has a temple,” Baba KaranVeeR shared.

Baba spent the day visiting some of the most iconic temples:

1. Kamakshi Amman Temple

A 12th-century marvel and one of the most important Shakti Sthalams.
“Ka” = Saraswati, “Ma” = Lakshmi, “Akshi” = Eye — symbolising divine abundance and wisdom.
The golden gopuram is a sacred highlight.

2. Kanchi Kailasanathar Temple

Built in the 7th century by Pallava king Rajasimha; famous for sandstone architecture and a 10-feet Shiva Lingam.

3. Ekambareshwarar Temple

One of the Pancha Bhootha Sthalams (Earth).
Its sacred mango tree is believed to bless childless couples.
The 57-metre gopuram is one of South India’s tallest.
