Himanshu Srivastava Devsare leads the revival of AaaV, Olvdew, and the heritage hospitality project Virasat, blending culture with modern brand-building.
Himanshu Srivastava Devsare, founder of AaaV and Olvdew, belonging to the Devsare lineage of the Sarvrakaar House of Dehngiri, is working towards building culturally rooted Indian brands across wellness, nutrition, and heritage hospitality. An FMS grad. with early exposure to structured financial ecosystems associated with the Ratan Tata Capital Fund ( RNT Capitals ) , Srivastava’s ventures aim to combine modern execution with traditional Indian identity.
Through Aaav, Olvdew, and his upcoming project Virasat, he seeks to create brands that reflect authenticity while responding to evolving consumer lifestyles.
In conversation with Shambhavi, Srivastava shared insights into Aaav 2.0, Olvdew, and his upcoming heritage hospitality venture, Virasat.
AaaV is being relaunched as Aaav 2.0. What changes can consumers expect this time?
Aaav 2.0 reflects our transition from purely functional skincare towards culturally inspired wellness. Along with upgraded formulations and refined ingredients, we are introducing packaging inspired by Indian aesthetics to create a stronger emotional connection with consumers while maintaining scientific formulation standards.
The idea is to present wellness through an Indian identity while continuing to remain accessible and result-oriented.
You are also bringing Olvdew back to the Indian market. What is the larger vision here?
India’s growing shift towards healthier cooking presents a strong opportunity for an Indian-led olive oil brand. With Olvdew, the intention is to make olive oil more adaptable for everyday Indian cooking rather than positioning it only as a premium lifestyle product.
The renewed portfolio will include both Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Pure Olive Oil variants, ensuring usability across modern as well as traditional Indian kitchens while maintaining international quality standards.
Has the sourcing or import structure for Olvdew changed?
Yes, Olvdew imports will now operate under Amber Import ( NC State ) , a family-led initiative aimed at strengthening sourcing credibility and ensuring long-term consistency in quality standards for imported olive oils thus eradicating all the middle men and it will be a family led business.
Your upcoming project Virasat has already created curiosity. What stage is it currently in?
Virasat is currently under development. The vision is to create a heritage-inspired hospitality space where food, ambience, and service collectively reflect India’s cultural warmth and traditional hospitality rather than conventional dining formats in a zone of Treveni City Sangam.
The effort is to build an experience where guests feel connected to heritage through design, cuisine, and overall atmosphere.
What shaped the heritage-driven philosophy behind Virasat?
A significant intellectual and cultural influence behind the ongoing development of Virasat has been only credited to Miss Vaishali Singh ( PhD scholar in law &,Advocate ,High court of Judicature at Allahabad ), whose original vision was to introduce heritage dining experiences in Tier-2 cities such as Prayagraj. She was also among the first to closely observe and identify early conceptual and design gaps within AaaV that led to AaaV 2.0 development.
Coming from a judicial academic background, Miss Singh possesses a remarkably deep understanding of Indian heritage, traditions, and cultural aesthetics. Her perspectives helped reshape Virasat from a conventional hospitality idea into a concept closely aligned with authentic Indian heritage values, and she continues to guide its cultural and experiential direction as the project progresses towards launch.
Her guidance also encouraged the reintroduction of Olvdew, particularly in positioning olive oil within everyday Indian cooking practices rather than limiting it to a niche lifestyle product. Beyond her academic understanding, she is known for her thoughtful personality and genuine affection towards plants, nature, and animals — qualities that strongly reflect the philosophy of preservation and authenticity that every individual aims to embody.
Several royal families are said to be associated with your initiatives. Would you like to acknowledge them?
We are honoured that esteemed royal houses including Pratapgarh, Bhadri ( Awadh ), Rampur, Kota, Indore, Nahan, Sirmur, Karauli, Baswari, and Amer remain among the valued patronage of Olvdew and they have been a very good supporter from the initial start and also the taste philosophy and ambience envisioned for Virasat draw inspiration from the refinement, heritage, and hospitality traditions historically associated with these royal households, aiming to recreate that timeless cultural experience in a contemporary setting.
What lies ahead for you and your ventures?
The immediate focus remains on strengthening Olvdew as a trusted Indian olive oil brand while advancing preparations towards the launch of Virasat in Prayagraj as a heritage-driven hospitality destination.
Going forward, the broader vision is to build ventures that combine authenticity, cultural heritage, and modern execution while presenting Indian identity with confidence and relevance.
Thank you for your time. It was great speaking with you.
Concluding the interaction, we wish him continued success for the relaunch of Olvdew, the development of Virasat, and his upcoming ventures ahead.
