In the era where profit making has become the core value of businesses across the globe that doesn’t take into consideration the ill-impacts on the environment, if someone builds his enterprise by valuing the facets of environment and climate change, then at the first instance it appears to be superficial and non-profitable. Bur Kerry Adler, the CEO of SkyPower Global, has proved it all wrong by stationing a business in the renewable sector that has earned global fame. Kerry Adler’s vision has conquered the world and SkyPower Global’s presence across four continents is a solid proof. After excelling and creating world class infrastructure in North America, Kerry Adler in the late 90s helped launching the business process outsourcing industry in India, which over the years created numerous opportunities for the local population and thus helped it in creating an atmosphere of advancement thus harnessing benefits from its educated population, low labour cost and internet infrastructure.

After his astounding success in India, in the early 2000 he decided that he wanted to do something that could be more beneficial for humanity and the environment. At the time when industrialists and business experts were too keen on expanding their business, ignoring the adverse effect it would create on our environment; Mr. Adler was talking about climate change. Almost two decades later climate change is something that international forums are discussing about on a daily basis, such is Mr. Adler’s vision. Since the very beginning he was against the dependency of majority of populations globally on fossil fuels, and he wanted to change this trend. His vision was to replace fossil fuels with renewable sources. There is hardly any mile stone that he has left untouched, still he is trying to help some of the under privileged nations to ensure at least basic electricity, which will in turn improve their condition and will thereby contribute towards economic growth, improvement in education and advancement in healthcare facilities. Continuing his intent for helping poor nations, during COP 27, Adler and Minister of Energy Zhemu Soda of Zimbabwe signed an agreement for extraction and transmission of solar energy in the country. The landmark project also called Zimbabwe Solar Power Project is the very first of its kind in the country, and the government of Zimbabwe has promised to cooperate in whatever way possible. Through this agreement Adler’s SkyPower will ensure climate action acceleration agreement for 500MW solar PV project. Adler has reached another milestone through this, as this agreement became the very first Public Private Partnership under the regional UN Economic Commission guidelines for renewable energy procurement.

Kerry is nothing short of someone that can be aptly called a public champion of renewable energy’s global growth potential, especially solar energy. Besides, he is a trusted and sought after energy advisor to not just one but numerous Heads of State, he played an integral part in the formation of the renowned Green Energy Act, North America’s first comprehensive clean energy legislation. Prior to above mention times, he has served as chairman and CEO of SITEL Canada and EVP, Office of the President, SITEL Corporation, a leading NYSE-listed company with more than 24000 employees in 18 countries, EVP and President of the Canadian Telephone Company, CorpfonCellualr, Canada’s first cellular reseller network. Displaying his leadership qualities, Kerry Adler is of the view that power is quintessential. He has over the years clearly demonstrated that he not only aims to bring basic power to remote areas or to underprivileged people, but his intent is to do so in such a way that addresses a growing climate crisis and ensures that people worldwide have access to low-cost power.
