Guess what who’s celebrating its birthday these weekend. It’s none other than our very own Facebook. The popular social networking site has turned 13 and this time too they are cherishing it in a different way.
For celebrating its happy birthday, Facebook has decided to term day as “Friends Day”. With this Facebook is creating Friends Day video of all the users across the globe. Facebook has a total of 1.86 billion users.
Visible on users’ news feed and timeline, the video shows a dancing figure created with tiny pictures of user’s friend. Basically, it’s a compilation of user’s memories with his/her friends shared or posted by them. The Friends Day video is available for Facebook users to like, share or comment.

If you sign in on Facebook on Sunday, you can find your Friends Day video on the top of your timeline and news feed. You can also edit the video and chose the kind and number of pictures and memories with friends to appear in the video.
Facebook CEO and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg first rolled out the concept of “Friends Day” on the 11th anniversary of the social networking portal on February 4, 2015.
This year too, Zuckerberg posted a video on his official Facebook account asking users to reach out to someone irrespective of where they are and say them how much they matter to them.
Facebook has also extended the celebration of Friends Day to its Messenger app which is now featuring highlighted friendship-themed GIFs.
