Indian auto major Ashok Leyland's sales for October were reported at 12,533 units. The sales for the entity surged by 28 per cent with respect to the same time frame last year (year-on-year basis).
The Hinduja Group's flagship company had sold 9,803 units in the corresponding month last year.
Sales of heavy and medium commercial vehicles rose by 33 per cent to 9,574 units last month as against 7,176 units in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement.
Light commercial vehicle sales grew by 13 per cent to 2,959 units as compared to 2,627 units in October last year, it added.
