HCL and IBM announced that both the companies have entered a 15-year partnership for automation and development and operations. This was written in company's blog post. The announcement was made after market hours on Thursday.
"This partnership will enable us to focus our technical teams on native cloud and cognitive solutions, as well as industry-specific opportunities," the companies said in a blog post.
HCL will build features and functions on top of existing IBM platforms and products such as Tivoli Workload Scheduler, Rational Testing, and Rational Modeling SaaS.
"Development and support teams from IBM, who are expert in these products and offerings, will benefit from HCL’s strong engineering heritage and culture of empowerment. Together, we will continue to advance and cloud-enable existing software, which is essential to the long-term success of our clients," the post added.
Automation and DevOps software are crucial to the success of clients attempting to turn into digital enterprises.
