Quantum Global Campus vows to promote invest in teenage girls

World population day came and went for all, but not for Quantum Global Campus. The Institute situated in Uttarakhand didn’t celebrate the World Population ‘day’ but a ‘week’. Keeping in view the urgency and importance of the issues pleading to be attended, the institute took initiative by organizing different events on 11th and 14thJuly respectively revolving around the theme of “Investing In Teenage Girls”.

“In 1989, the governing council of UNDP recommended that 11th July every year be observed as World Population Day. In 1987, world population turned out to be 5 billion. The theme for 2016 is apt as girls today face enormous problems.  Many parents consider them ready for marriage and motherhood; many are forced to give up their pursuit of education thus damaging their future prospects.

Social problems like these should be eliminated from the society, only then India would be able to develop completely,” said Ajay Goyal, Chairman of Quantum Global Campus, while addressing the students on the opening of campaign.

The enthusiastic street play performed by the students highlighted a number of problems that work hand in hand with over population. It also showcased the other social evils including corruption, lack of food in family, financial problems, educational rights among others.

The drive let the students go out and talk to the people of nearby villages; informing them about the social menaces and thus, fulfilling the motive of the campaign.
