In an attempt to empower the underprivileged through selfless initiatives of individuals across the country, the CSR Journal is establishing a platform for such people through SWAG (Social Welfare & Growth) Awards, 2016.
The awards ceremony will be held on 8 July in Mumbai. The awards are broadly categorised under: 1) Education & Skill Training; 2) Sports; 3) Health & Sanitation; 4) Environment & Agriculture; 5) Women Empowerment & Child Welfare. The CSR Journal is celebrating its anniversary and the occasion will also mark the commencement of crucial announcements by the Journal.
Besides, Dancing Queens, an LGBTQI community-based dance group would present an enthralling performance on their aspirations, struggles and skills. Stand-up artist Kenneth Sebastian will present a comedy act. There will be LIVE performance by Alternative Lyrical Pop and Band saMcara who will present a song on social responsibility and ethics. Moreover, a panel of speakers will provide their expertise on citizen/corporate social responsibility.
Talking about SWAG Awards 2016, Amit Upadhyay, Editor-In-Chief, The CSR Journal said, “Through this platform, we will attempt to create a homogeneous growth model for sustainable development; working in sync with policy-makers, top corporate houses and non-profit organisations.”
