The net worth of India's richest Mukesh Ambani's fall nearly 28 per cent or 300 million a day in the past two months. It is currently at $48 billion mar as on March 31 as per a report. The Hurun Global Rich List said the wealth of Mukesh Ambani dropped by $19 billion, taking his global rank to 17th after falling eight spots.

Apart from this, other Indian businessmen also witness drop in their net worth such as Gautam Adani lost nearly 6 per cent, Shiv Nadar lost 5 billion and Uday Kotak's worth 4 billion. All the three even dropped off from the list of top 100 rich list.

Hurun Report India Managing Director Anas Rahman said, "India's top entrepreneurs have been hit by a 26 per cent drop in the stock markets and a 5.2 per cent drop in the value of the rupee compared with the US Dollar. For Mukesh Ambani, it has been a perfect storm, with his wealth down 28 per cent''.

Recently, Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) on Monday pledged to donate Rs 500 crores to PM-CARES Fund to combat the novel coronavirus outbreak in India.

Additionally, Reliance Industries has donated Rs 5 crore each to the governments of Maharashtra and Gujarat to support their fights against the COVID-19.

In a statement, Reliance Industries confirmed that it will donate 500 crore to PM CARES Fund in response to the call by the Prime Minister to support the nation’s fight against the Coronavirus onslaught.

“Reliance Industries has also provided contributions of Rs. 5 crore each to the governments of Maharashtra and Gujarat to support their fights against the Covid-19,” the company said.
