1. Cabinet gives approval for ONGC Videsh's additional 11 per cent stake buy in Russia's Vankor oil field

Indian oil major ONGC Videsh's bid to buy an additional 11 per cent stake in Russia's Vankor oil field for USD 930 million has been approved by the Union Cabinet on Wednesday. 

OVL, the overseas arm of state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in May this year had completed acquisition of 15 per cent stake in Vankor oil field for USD 1.28 billion.

2. Sony unveils MDR-100X headphones with active noise cancelling feature

Japanese tech-giant Sony has launched its new headphones MDR-1000X in India which comprises the all new active noise-cancelling feature.

The bluetooth-enabled headphones gives user the convinience to connect smartphones and other devices wirelessly. The noise cancellation feature excels the listening experience to provide clear output. Reportedly the new MDR-1000X will be sold at a handy price of Rs. 30,990 in the country.

3. Indian stock markets plunge amid weak Asian cues 

The BSE Sensex ended with a loss of 114 points at 28,221 on Wednesday. It opened at 28,426, touched an intra-day high of 28,478 and low of 28,189.

The NSE Nifty closed with a loss of 25 points at 8,743 on Wednesday. It opened at 8,806, hit an intra-day high of 8,807 and low of 8,731.
