With 10 crore calls from its network to users of operators like Airtel failing per day, Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio on Wednesday hits out at incumbent operators for not making operational new interconnections in last 15 days despite repeated reminders.
Against a requirement of 4,000 to 5,000 points of interconnect per operator, the interconnections released are less than 2,000 by Airtel, about 1,500 by Vodafone and close to 1,600 by Idea, Reliance Jio said in a statement said. "Despite repeated reminders and bilateral meetings with incumbent operators and claims made by them, hardly any new interconnection capacity has been made operational by any of the three incumbent operators, viz.

2. Search engine Google launched its messaging app 'Allo'
Search engines Google, has launched its messaging app 'Allo', which would compete with the likes of WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. Available for both Android and iOS platforms, Allo will also mark the debut of Google Assistant in a preview edition.
Powered with artificial intelligence, Allo packs in features including smart reply, options for sharing photos, emojis and stickers. For Indian users, Google has enabled smart replies in 'Hinglish'. It will also roll out over 200 stickers created by popular independent artists aimed at Indian users. Google had announced Duo and Allo at its I/O event in May this year. Duo, which competes with video calling platform Skype, was launched last month.

3. Markets end flat as investors remain wary ahead of Federal reserve policy decision
The Sensex and Nifty recorded early gains but eventually ended flat as investors remained cautious ahead of the US Federal Reserve policy decision meeting scheduled later in the day.
The BSE Sensex ended with a loss of 16 points at 28,507. The BSE Sensex opened at 28,554 touched an intra-day high of 28,689 and low of 28,462. The NSE Nifty closed with a loss of mere one points at 8,777. The NSE Nifty opened at 8,790 hitting a high of 8,827 and low of 8,757.30.
