The Land Rover India has announced the prices of the 2017 discovery at Rs 68.05 lakh. The company has also started accepting bookings for the new Discovery in the country.

The 2017 Land rover discovery is a 7-seater SUV and will be available in three variants, namely; S, SE, and HSE in both petrol and diesel engine. The all-new luxury SUV will be launched on October 28, 2017, in the country. Deliveries will commence later in October or early November.

First showcased at the 2014 New York Auto Show, the 2017 Land Rover Discovery is based on the Discovery Vision Concept. It is expected to be more comfortable, faster and more capable than its predecessor. It continues to boast of a seven-seater layout. 

The design of the 2017 Land Rover Discovery continues to feature the traditional stepped roofline, providing ample space inside for the passengers. However, the company has moved away from its boxy design for the 2017 Discovery, in line with its new design concept.

It will come in the Si6 and TDV6 trims. The supercharged petrol 3-litre V6, that powers the Si6 trim, churns out 335 bhp and develops 450 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the six-cylinder diesel motor on the TD6 trim delivers 254 bhp and peak torque of 600 Nm.

Inside the cabin, the 2017 Land Rover Discovery comes loaded with features like Intelligent Seat Fold technology, a central touchscreen, InControl Touch Pro Services. Moreover, the SUV also gets InControl Touch Pro infotainment system, 14-speaker Meridian digital surround system, four 12V charging points and much more. Furthermore, buyers will be able to customize each trim with add ons.

The Land Rover Discovery competes in the luxury SUV segment against the Mercedes-Benz GLS, Audi Q7, and the Volvo XC90.
