Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Arvind Panagariya on Friday shared the performance of the commission during the three years of Modi Government. Addressing the media in New Delhi Panagariya rebutted the data on rising unemployment in India saying that true figures cannot be known until regular household survey comes out with figures. 

Arvind Panagariya also shared future projections for Indian Economy, "Going forward, growth in the current year will be around 7.5per cent. Government to hit sustained 8 per cent growth rate over next 2 years," he said.

#In 2017-18, Indian Economy to grow at around 7.5%

#We have created a joint committee to prepare report on the speedy development of Uttar Pradesh 

#We will do the same for Punjab 

#During current govt, economy has started improving, we are receiving maximum FDI, inflation has come down

#We are focussing on NPA, a lot needs to be done in this direction 

#An employment task force has been set up under my chairmanship. The taskforce has met twice and we have found several loopholes 

#Eight sectors provide for 3 crore workforce in 11 states, agriculture employs 47 crore people

#No one can say if employment has increased or decreased, not before Regular Household Survey
