Aditya Ghosh resigns as IndiGo president, Rahul Bhatia named interim CEO

IndiGo airline on Friday announced Aditya Ghosh would be stepping down as its President and Whole Time Director while promoter Rahul Bhatia would be taking over as the interim CEO.

IndiGo airline on Friday announced Aditya Ghosh would be stepping down as its president and Whole Time Director while promoter Rahul Bhatia would be taking over as the interim CEO.

During a company board meeting on Friday, IndiGo accepted the resignation of Ghosh, as per a regulatory filing.

Ghosh’s resignation as a Whole Time Director would be effective from April 26, but he would step down as the President on July 31.

Rahul Bhatia has been announced as the interim CEO and Gregory Taylor as Senior Advisory.

The board has appointed Bhatia as the Interim Chief Executive Officer but he would be continuing his stint as a director.

IndiGo is India’s largest domestic airline service with a market share of approximately 40 per cent.
