Price of LPG cylinder, CNG increased in Delhi, Noida

The price of subsidised cooking gas (LPG) has increased by Rs 2.89 per cylinder to Rs 502.4 per cylinder, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) said in a statement on Sunday, even as the common man continued to bear the brunt of skyrocketing fuel prices. 

The per cylinder cost of non-subsidised LPG at Delhi has also been increased by Rs 59, the IOC said. After the latest round of price rise, the non-subsidised LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 879, while the subsidised cylinder will cost Rs 502.4.

With the hike in prices, the subsidy transfer in customers' bank account will now be increased to Rs 376.60 per cylinder in October 2018. The new prices will be effective from midnight today (September 30- October 1).

Meanwhile, the prices of CNG in national capital Delhi and its surrounding region Noida has also been increased by Rs 1.70 and Rs 1.95 per kg, respectively. In Delhi, CNG will now cost Rs 44.30 per kg, while in Noida it will cost Rs 51.25 per kg.
