Lenovo is all set to launch the all-metal Moto M, which features an all-new design language, in the Indian market on Tuesday. Flipkart teased the launch of the phone via its Twitter handle with a caption that reads: "It's Metallic. It's Marvelous. And it could be yours very soon. Coming soon on Flipkart! #SomethingMagnificent.â€
The Moto M was launched in China in November this year with a price tag of CNY 1,999. Soon after the China launch, Lenovo teased its India launch on its Moto India Twitter handle.
The Moto M has a full metal unibody design. Just like the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, the new phone is water resistant.
The design is also quite similar with a curved back and a 5.5 inch Full HD display in front. The Moto M comes with the same Octa core snapdragon 617 chipset and 3000mAh battery. The major difference remains the placement of the fingerprint sensor.
Many people had been pointing out that the front button for fingerprint sensor is useless and it confuses the users for a home button, which becomes annoying at times.
The fingerprint sensor is now placed at the back. The RAM is upgraded to 3GB/4GB and the storage to 32GB/64GB. The smartphone sports a 16 megapixel camera in the rear with 1micrometer pixel size.
