The next new year’s iPhone may come with an all-glass body. Tech giant Apple may soon dump its traditional aluminum casing reportedly for an all-glass enclosure in the upcoming iPhone 8.
iPhone 8 is expected to be launched in 2017 which sport a thinner and lighter look than before. Apple has been quite active in the past few months when it comes to iPhones. Last month it unveiled iPhone SE its cheapest model till date.
According to reports, Apple is also planning to use OLED displays on future iPhones, for which it may tap Samsung to manufacture and supply. The reason behind is to differentiate the iPhone from rival phones that use aluminum and to boost stagnant sales.
Glass will definitely add a more beautiful look to the phone but again it is also heavier than aluminum but AMOLED screens will make it thinner and lighter than before.
Equipping future phones with more must-haves could help Apple in maintaining its sales. But this all remains in the rumor stage for now as Apple has not confirmed to any of it.
