Amid several reports of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones catching fire, it has been emerged that an Apple iPhone 7 has burst into flames inside a car. The incident took place in South Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Mat Jones, a surfer, has captured a footage that shows a car which he claims caught fire after his iPhone 7 went into flames.
According to 7 News, Jones had left his iPhone 7 inside his car as he went to surf. When he returned, he found smoke inside his car and the phone had allegedly ignited and damaged the interior of his car.
"Ash was just coming from inside the pants which then, once you unwrapped the pants, the phone was just melting inside of it," Jones told 7 News. Jones said that the iPhone 7 was just a week old.
