After the first meeting, the chairman of Economic Advisory Council to Prime Minister said that they have picked 10 issues that they will work on.
The ten issues that were picked included economic growth, employment and job creation, informal sector and integration of informal sector, fiscal framework, monetary policy, public expenditure and efficiency of public expenditure, institutions of the economic governance, agriculture and animal husbandry, patterns of consumption and production and social sector.
Debroy said that whenever they will take any view on monetary policy, they will discuss it with Reserve Bank of India.
Debroy informed that EAC-PM focused on critical interventions related to accelerating economic growth and employment with greater social and financial inclusion based on rigorous economic analysis.
