State-run telecom firm BSNL tied up with education services provider Extramarks Education to offer digital learning solutions in India. People who have access to BSNL telecom service can avail Extramarks Education's digital content. Customers subscribed to BSNL internet service can utilize Extramarks Education digital content.
Through this strategic collaboration, Extramarks aims to identify and work on opportunities in the education space in India and transform the learning experience of students across private and government education institutes. Telecom minister Manoj Sinha who was present during the official function that marked the collaboration between the two entities took to Facebook and wrote - The tie-up is expected to benefit the educational needs of around 11 crore consumers, especially in the rural parts of the country. The same shall auger well for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of transforming the country into a NEW INDIA.

Extramarks has offered smart classroom solutions in over 8,000 schools so far. It follows the annuity revenue based model wherein the school is charged on an upfront or EMI basis. The EMI has to be settled either monthly or quarterly.
