Facebook Live video now available for all users in India: Here's how to use

Facebook has now launched its Live button feature for all its Android and iOS users in India. Earlier this feature was available only for Facebook pages and selected users in India. Android users can access this feature through “Go Live” button in Facebook android application.  The option is called ‘Live Video’ in Facebook app for iOS.

Both these buttons perform the same function i.e record live videos. Users need to click on ‘Status’ tab to see the live video option on their smartphones. Facebook users can now go live via face-swapping MSQRD app, which allows them to use different Snapchat-like filters during live video.

Facebook needs your permission before it can use your phone to broadcast. There will typically be two requests, one to use the camera and the other to use the microphone. This is a one-time thing and you shouldn’t have to do it on future broadcasts.

Also, Facebook has increased its limit to broadcast Live videos to up to four hours as opposed to two hours earlier. The update gives users an option to broadcast videos in both full-screen and video-only mode. This means that if users go Live from an iOS device, they will can go full screen in portrait as well as landscape mode.
