FBIL sets rupee reference rate at 68.8331 against dollar

The Financial Benchmarks India private limited (FBIL) on Thursday fixed the reference rate of the rupee at 68.8331 against the US dollar and 80.1153 for the euro.

The corresponding rates were 68.5652 and 79.7163 on Wednesday.

According to an FBIL statement, the exchange rates for the pound and the yen against the rupee were 89.9300 and 61.01 per 100 yens, respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.

The SDR-rupee figure will be based on this rate, the statement added.
