HTC is hosting a press conference on Thursday in India where it is likely to launch its mid-level phone, the Desire 10 Pro which was recently unveiled and is essentially the global variant of the US-exclusive HTC Bolt.
The company has already sent out media invites for the same and the smartphone is already listed on HTC India website. While the invite doesn’t reveal anything about the smartphone, it hints at the gold metal rims at the front and back as seen on the Desire 10 Pro.
As per the media invite, HTC will be "unveiling its latest innovation in sound and camera" with no clear mention of what's in store. An accompanying image however teases the golden trims of the phone in question, ideally the Desire 10 Pro. The Desire 10 also comes with similar golden trims; however, Desire 10 Pro phone is already available in India for a price of Rs 15,990.

The Desire 10 Pro and Lifestyle come with a 5.5-inch screen but while the Pro has a 1080p display, the Lifestyle has a 720p one.
Both the Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle have similar design: an all plastic body with golden trims. These phones are also flatter than HTC's previous Desire phones.
The HTC Desire 10 Pro bears a fingerprint sensor - something its cheaper Desire 10 Lifestyle sibling doesn't. The dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company's Sense UI on top.
20-megapixel rear camera
The Desire 10 Pro packs a 20-megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus, a BSI sensor, an f/2.2 aperture, and Auto HDR mode.It also sports a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with a BSI sensor, an f/2.2 aperture, and Auto HDR.
MediaTek Helio P10 processor
The Pro, which is the more powerful of the Desire 10, is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor clubbed with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal memory.
Desire 10 Pro is powered by a 3000mAh battery that's rated to deliver up to 19 hours of talk time on 3G networks. It measures 156.5x76x7.86mm and weighs 165 grams.
The Desire 10 Pro has connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, and 4G LTE Cat. 6 (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).
The HTC Desire 10 Pro additionally comes with BoomSound audio.
