Linking your Aadhaar number with your bank account

The government is gradually making Aadhaar card compulsory for financial transactions and several other procedures such as filing income tax returns and availing government schemes and benefits.

Advertisment

The government recently made Aadhaar mandatory for opening bank accounts as well as for any financial transaction of Rs 50,000 and above. If they fail to do so, their account will turn invalid, a revenue department notification has said.
