Namotel Acche Din, a smartphone at Rs 99 - seems unrealistic? But it’s true. The smartphone which is the third after Freedom 251 and Docoss 888, in recent launches of scantly priced phones, is now ‘available for booking’.
The company has claimed the phone to be ‘cheapest ever’ in world. Madhava Reddy, the promoter of the company said that the phone is most affordable and will be available for booking from May 17th till May 25th, 2016.
The phone is available with a 4 inch display and it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is powered by 1.3GHz quadcore processor along with 1 GB RAM.
The website Namotel.com shows the price that has been slashed from Rs 2,999 to Rs 99 and this smartphone is also available on cash-on-delivery. However, nominal delivery charges will apply.
The company also states that this smartphone represents both joy and freedom. Namotel Achhe Din, developed under Make In India initiative is available for those citizens who hold a valid Aadhaar identification card.
