Namotel world's cheapest smartphone launched

Namotel Achhe Din which is being dubbed as world’s cheapest smartphone for just Rs.99. Promoter Madhava Reddy claims that he is actually marketing the world’s cheapest smartphone which has almost all the capabilities that a smartphone possess. Namotel Achhe Din comes with 4 inch display and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is powered by 1.3GHz quadcore processor along with 1 GB RAM. Namotel will be available for booking from May 17 to 25. The smartphone has 1325 mAh battery loaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The website Namotel.com shows the price that has been slashed from Rs 2,999 to Rs 99 and this smartphone is also available on cash-on-delivery. However, nominal delivery charges will apply.

The company also states that this smartphone represents both joy and freedom. Namotel Achhe Din, developed under Make In India initiative is available for those citizens who hold a valid Aadhaar identification card.

Earlier Ringing Bells had offered with much fanfare a smartphone, called Freedom 251, at just Rs. 251, claiming it to be cheapest smartphone. But it was actually not possible for the company to manufacture it.

Looking at the price of Namotel, one can’t imagine all of it in just one smartphone at such price. Now it remains to be seen how this will go on when it comes to delivery of the cell phone.
