Reliance Jio is set to hit the broadband market again. Last year, soon after the launch of Reliance Jio, the company also announced the testing of fibre-to-home service in Mumbai and Pune but did not give any details about its launch.
Now with some new additions on its recharge page for consumers, the company hints that the launch date for the service might be getting closer now.
Starting today, the consumers would witness two new options on the Jio website - Home broadband and Jio Link. Clicking on those options will not reveal more details, however, during the launch of the Jio mobile network, Chairman Mukesh Ambani had said that the company would launch a fibre network capable of 1Gbps speeds.

The Home broadband has an image of an internet router while the Jio Link looks like a TV set top box. Reportedly, Jio is also planning to enter DTH market and Jio Link could be the name of the service. The leaked pictures of Jio's set top box have also surfaced on web recently.
It is possible that when the Jio Fibre launches formally, it will be offered for free for three months, similar to how Jio 4G was given in September last year.
