Ringing Bells, a Noida based tech company has announced a smartphone which will price as less as Rs. 500. The smartphone, named Freedom 251, is expected to be launched by on Feb 17th by the hands of Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.
Speaking of the phone’s disruptive pricing, the Noida-based company stated, “The Ringing Bells ‘Freedom 251’ launch is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for empowering India to the last person, transforming India’s growth story.”
This is not the first time company is coming out with a cheap device. Founded last year the company also owns the credit of launching cheapest 4G smartphone ever, priced at Rs. 2,999.
But launching a phone at Rs. 500 is surely a thing to watch out.
India which ranks second in terms of smartphone market is set surpass US in terms smartphone users.
At a time when having a smartphone has become a need for everyone, this pricing is completely un-ignorable pricing. The device which offers services at utterly cheap price can be a new benchmark for India.
