Samsung has sent out invites to launch its latest smartwatch the Gear S2 today in India.
The S2 circular smartwatch which was globally unveiled at IFA 2015 in Berlin, has already been launched in phases in many countries abroad and will make its India entry on Thursday.
The smartwatch sports a circular watch face design and the interesting bit is its 1.2-inch ‘full circle’ design.
It has 360 x 360 pixel Super AMOLED display which gives a 302ppi pixel density. It is powered by a Samsung Exynos 3250 chipset which houses a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz and is paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.
Samsung Gear S2 also acts as a fitness tracker and is water- and dust-resistant. Running on the Tizen OS, the Gear S2 comes in three variants – Gear S2, Gear S2 Classic and Gear S2 3G which has a different chipset powering it that offers 3G connectivity. It also houses a 250mAh battery.
