The end of the month is an important time for SBI customers, people who are using HDFC mobile banking app and those who are yet to get FASTag for their vehicles. While SBI may take action users who have not completed their KYC till February 28, HDFC will shut the old version of its mobile banking app on February 29. It is also the last date for those who want to get free FASTag.

February 29 is last date to get FASTag for free. The government is offering FASTags free of charge for 15 days between February 15 and February 29. National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has decided to waive off the cost of FASTag of Rs 100 for the 15-day period. The ministry said that vehicle owners can visit any authorised physical point-of-sale locations with a valid Registration Certificate (RC) of the vehicle to avail FASTag free of cost. The NHAI FASTags can be purchased from all National Highway fee plazas, RTOs, Common Service Centres, transport hubs, petrol pumps. One can also download the My FASTag App or call the helpline number, 1033.

If you are using the old version of HDFC mobile banking app then 29 February is an important date for you. According to reports, HDFC has decided to shut down old version of its app. Reports claimed that HDFC has informed users via messages about closure of the app. You need to download the new version to continue using HDFC mobile banking via app.
Update KYC For SBI
The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced that bank may be constrained to freeze accounts if customers fail to update Know Your Customer (KYC) details for hassle-free banking experience within February 28, 2020. SBI account holders should visit the nearest SBI branch and submit a copy of any of the valid documents that is accepted for the KYC update.
