Skoda Auto India, the Indian arm of the Czech car maker, unvieled the New Rapid on Thursday priced at Rs 8.34 lakhs (Ex-showroom Maharashtra).
The race of rolling out new car models in the post Diwali season seems never ending as the leading auto makers attempt to attract the ever growing Indian auto market.
“The new Rapid is an integral part of the model offensive strategy in India. An improved ownership experience and an ongoing model offensive strategy combined with the launch of the New Rapid will consolidate our growth going forward,” Sudhir Rao, CMD, Skoda Auto India said.
The New Rapid that will be available both in the petrol and diesel variants, has an exclusive dimension of being the first Skoda automobile to have been locally engineered. It will be an addition to the existing fleet of four variants that Skoda India has to offer, that includes the Superb, Octavia, Yeti and the Rapid.
