Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched a new variant of its multi-purpose vehicle Innova. The new sporty variation is called the Innova Touring Sport. It’s prices for both the manual and automatic systems in petrol and diesel are, Rs 17.79 lakh for petrol manual, Rs 18.91 lakh for diesel manual, Rs 20.84 lakh for petrol automatic and Rs 22.15 lakh for diesel automatic.
“For the first time, we are offering a dynamic and sporty avatar. As an MPV with an SUV-like styling, the new Innova Touring Sport is a blend of dynamic exterior design, sporty interiors along with superior safety and performance features,” Toyota said in a statement.
The Innova Touring Sport comprises an all-black front grille, which combined with the smoked chrome headlamps and front bumper spoiler imparts great style to the looks of the car. Apart from this the console box and seats have red stitches, a red illumination combi meter and a matching redwood pattern on the instrument panel.
The Innova touring sport is available in new wildfire red which is more exclusive and the existing white pearl crystal shine. The engines are same as before i.e., 2.8-litre diesel, 2.4-litre diesel and 2.7-litre petrol.
As N Raja, director and senior vice president, sales & Marketing at Toyota puts it, “The launch celebrates one year of Innova Crysta in India, which has received an overwhelming response and has sold over 85,000 units,” he further adds, “We are happy to offer a distinct style to a market that wants both the comfort and feel of an MPV and the style of an SUV.”
Toyota has been a market leader in the MPV segment ever since it launched the Qualis in 1997, with Innova in 2005 and the Innova Crysta in 2016.
