WhatsApp has brought major changes in its latest update by introducing GIF search feature and increasing media sharing limit from 10 item to 30 items.
These changes have been claimed as a part of WhatsApp 2.17.6 beta for Android, which lets users search for a GIF on WhatsApp via Giphy – a feature that has been available to iOS users since November 2016.
Android users were earlier able to share GIFs that were stored on their device but now they can search for any GIF via WhatsApp’s in-app GIF search function.
WhatsApp's GIF search feature is vastly similar to Facebook Messenger and one just needs to type the name of the GIF he/she wants to share. Thus, the GIF will thus be shown in the results.
