Examinations for class 10th and 12th CBSE boards begin today. As nearly 15 lakh students are expected to appear for 10th and over 10.5 lakh for the 12th exams.

These are the days when the students are required to be more focused, well read and well confident too. Yes! Not only knowledge but confidence and  peace is what plays a major role in scoring good marks in exams.

Though the student has to prepare well for the board exams well in advance but sometimes they also tend to get stressed and feel less confident thus resulting in major troubles.

You can avoid those problems if focused on your inner calm and tranquility. Here are some of the ways to avoid exam stress:

Don’t panic, learn to keep calm

The first and foremost thing to remember here is – don’t panic! Students need to keep calm and then move ahead. Plan things accordingly, decide what you want to study first and practice accordingly. Also keep sometime for leisure too, it helps a lot, may be some good music.

Take walks

Sedentary lifestyle that is more common when exams are on the head also amounts to lowly feeling. Students should either go for a walk in park, play with a puppy, exercise, hit gym and keep themselves as active as they can.

Get enough sleep

Try to get enough sleep in the night. The benefits of a proper night’s sleep can never be underestimated. Sleep helps your brain to assimilate new knowledge into your long-term memory so that you can recall it when it comes to test day.

Eat properly

Have fruits and juices as much as possible, that is good nutrition for body and mind as well. Eating good food makes human happy thus resulting in mood upliftments.

Stay social

Forget those old school thoughts of being quarantined in a room because exams are going on. There is no need to cut ties, do social networking, stay updated, play games and keep your mind as active and as curious as possible.

Watch and listen to a lot of motivating TED talks, experiences of successful people will keep you optimistic. Make the best use of technology. Sometimes, word play an important role in elevating the mood.
