The wait for Class 12th students get over as the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has announced results on Wednesday. The results can be checked on the official websites of Chhattisgarh CGBSE results; www.cgbse.net with the release of merit list of students who scored the highest. The final results have been made available on the websites from 10 AM onwards.
The CGBSE Class 12 examination was held on 23 February 2016 with its first paper as Environmental Science. The exam ended on 14 March 2016 with Geography paper. Ever since the day examinations concluded, students were holding their nerves while waiting for the results.
2.7 lakh students appeared this year for the CGBSE Board Exam 2016 with increase in number of students. In 2015, nearly 2 lakh candidates appeared for the examination.
After Chhattisgarh became a state on 1 November 2000, the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) was set up in Raipur on July 20, 2001. The board which is divided into 18 zones is responsible for the promotion and development of Secondary Education in the state. The board also recommends syllabus, proposes textbooks and recognize of higher school and higher secondary schools in Chhattisgarh.
