The monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly was adjourned sine-die on Thursday after adopting a privilege motion against one Abhijit Iyer Mitra who allegedly made derogatory remarks on the Sun Temple in Konark.
Speaker P K Amat adjourned the session for an indefinite period.
The monsoon session, which began on September 4, had 11 working days during which 12 bills, including the Appropriation Bill, were passed, Amat said.

This apart, three resolutions were also passed during the session.
Finance Minister S B Behera also tabled the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the year ended March, 2017 on General and Social Sector Government of Odisha.
The session remained stormy over scams in agriculture, cooperative and Omfed and derogatory remarks made by Iyer Mitra.
The issue of block grant teachers of 1,500 colleges and 4,000 schools also prominently figured in the House over which the members created a noisy protest.

However, the House was adjourned sine-die before the problem of teachers could be solved.
The leader of the House and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra and BJP Legislature Party leader K V Singhdeo thanked all for their cooperation in conducting the House.
