Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday night said that searches conducted at the residence of his predecessor Bhupinder Singh Hooda and other officers were not done “out of malice or political vendetta”.
Anybody, including the former chief minister or present chief minister or any officer who is involved in any wrong doing, will have to face the law, he told reporters.
Answering a query, he said CBI is an independent body and conducted the raids on the basis of “facts which came up during the course of its investigation”.
Asked about the Justice Dhingra Commission report, Khattar said the government was in process of studying it and “action would be taken once the findings have been thoroughly gone into”.
