A teacher in a government school at Nawanshahr in Punjab was on Tuesday arrested for allegedly molesting girl students, a police official said.
Police arrested Sulakhan Singh, a drawing teacher of a government school at Nawanshahr following a complaint against the drawing teacher by the mother of one of the victims, police said.

Singh was booked under Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
According to police as reported in PTI: On Saturday, the accused had sexually harassed two girls in the staff room of the Government High School Mehrampur. The victims reported the matter to their parents after school hours. On Monday, the girls’ parents along with their village heads reached the school and took the accused to task who then confessed to his crime and the police were informed.
