Punjab, J&K Police bust terror module in Jalandhar, three students arrested

In a joint operation on Wednesday, the Punjab Police and the Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested three students to bust a terror module of Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH), in Jalandhar. The students were nabbed from the hostel of CT Institute of Engineering Management and Technology, according to news agency ANI.

According to sources, the police recovered weapons, including one AK-47, three pistols, detonators and ammunition from the possession of the three arrested students. All of them belong to the Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Jammu and Kashmir police had received an information about the presence of weapons in an educational institute in Jalandhar. They, along with CISF and counter-intelligence forces raided the campus and recovered the weapons.

The students are being subjected to sustained interrogation and the police are trying to ascertain where the weapons would be used.
