Global hospitality chain Airbnb on Thursday announced that New Delhi has emerged as the most hospitable Indian city followed closely by Maharashtra, Jaipur, and Kochi.
The latest Hospitality Index by Airbnb showed that in India, hospitality is deeply rooted in the diversity found in local culture, cuisine, lifestyle preferences and the way countrymen welcome foreigners into our homes.
Since its inception, Airbnb's community of hosts has been instrumental in extending hospitality to travellers from around the world to provide an authentic taste of India.
As per the index, the most hospitable states were Maharashtra, Goa, Delhi, Karnataka and Kerala, with the highest number of 5-star reviews from the guests over the years.
Meanwhile, New Delhi led the charts as the most hospitable city in the country, followed closely by Jaipur, Cochin and Mumbai. Furthermore, Delhi saw the highest rate of success in terms of extending hospitality that is a class apart, with close to 80 percent of reviewed trips in Delhi-NCR receiving a 5-star rating
