Ahead of the peak rainy season, expected between June 29 to July 1, a mild dust storm brought respite from the heat in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) on Monday.

Several parts of Delhi, Noida and Faridabad witnessed gusty winds accompanied with dust.

Delhiites on Monday woke up to another hot morning with the temperature hovering around 45 degree Celsius.

The storm brought the maximum temperature down from 45 degree Celsius to 40 degree Celsius in the early evening.

Earlier on Sunday, the Meteorological Department issued a fresh warning about rains and thunderstorm at isolated places over eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh between June 25 to June 27.

With the maximum temperature hovering around 45.1 degree Celsius in the state, the Lucknow district administration has announced a vacation for all the schools till June 30.

The pre-monsoon showers in the national capital can be expected around June 29, India Meteorological Department (IMD) and Skymet predicted on Sunday.
