Delhi DCP (Northwest) Aslam Khan donates a part of her monthly salary to the family of a truck driver from Jammu and Kashmir’s RS Pura Sector, who was murdered in Delhi in January.

The truck driver, who was the sole breadwinner of the family was murdered by a group of boys in Delhi on January 9, 2018. When DCP Khan got to know about the condition of his family, she decided to donate a part of her monthly salary to them.

“He was a truck driver and was murdered on 9 Jan by a group of boys. I somehow got in contact with them and realised they're very poor. From February onwards, I started sending them a part of my salary,” ANI quoted Khan as saying.

Khan said that many people who got to know about the financial condition of the family had approached her to help to the family.

“I've also been approached by people who want to help them,” Khan added.

Family members of the victim in RS Pura Sector’s Flora village said that they were scared by thinking about the future after the death of their only breadwinner. However, DCP’s Khan’s kind gesture gave them some respite in tough times.

“We were scared but Ma'am started helping us. We're thankful to her,” the family of the deceased truck driver said.
