Botanical Garden, first inter-change station of NCR ready for operations, says DMRC

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Tuesday in a statement said that the Botanical Garden metro station will be the first ever inter-change-station to be ready for operation outside Delhi. 

The Botanical Garden metro station will be the only inter-change station in NCR even after completion of phase three work.  
Daily commuters will now be abble to directly travel to important destinations like Nehru Place and Kalkaji. Between Noida and Faridabad passengers can change at Kalkaji Mandir.

With Botanical Garden and Kalkaji Mandir as inter change stations travel time at the blue and violet lines are expected to reduce considerabley.  The Botanical Garden-Kalkaji section will have nine stations. Apart from Kalkaji Mandir one, all other stationswill be at elevated altitude.

 After the subsequent extension of the Magenta Line from Kalkaji Mandir to Janakpuri West in the near future, thetravel time between Noida and Gurgaon will come down by about half-an-hour to 50 minutes, with an inter-changefacility at the Hauz Khas station, it added.

Noida will also get directly connected with the domestic terminals of the Indira Gandhi International Airport for thefirst time. The journey from the Botanical Garden station to the domestic terminal will take about 40 minutes.
