Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday announced his government will establish the first sports university of the city, adding that the cabinet has already cleared the bill. Kejriwal said the Delhi government has allotted a 90-acre land in Mundka.
“Now, students can get a proper degree in cricket, tennis and other sports. Graduation and post-graduation in sports became a reality,” Kejriwal said at a press conference along with his deputy Manish Sisodia.
Kejriwal said the bill will be sent to Lt Governor Anil Baijal. After that, it will be tabled in the Delhi Assembly. The move is aimed to promote sports in the city, he said.
