Rains lashed large parts of Delhi-NCR, including Noida, on Monday, bringing down the maximum temperatures below normal limits in most places.
The national capital received a heavy downpour in the afternoon after more than a week. The maximum temperature here dropped by two notches to settle at 33 degrees Celsius.
Despite cloud formation over the region, the area has witnessed a dry spell.
"The sky will remain generally cloudy with light rain or drizzle expected. The city is likely to receive light rain till Thursday," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official had predicted earlier.
