Ghaziabad gang rape case: Locals take out candle light march demanding arrest of accused

A candle march was taken out, demanding early arrests of the accused involved in the gang rape and murder of a minor girl. The march was taken out in Karhera village of Sahibabad.

On October 22 the minor girl, who had gone to graze a goat, was gang raped by three persons and then strangulated to death when she resisted, president of western Uttar Pradesh wing of Sarvhara Varg Vikas Samiti Surendra Singh Chandel claimed.

The candle march was taken out last night.

If the accused are not arrested, the Balmiki Samaj will hamper sanitation work in National Capital Region and western Uttar Pradesh, Chandel said.
