In connection with fake UGC notice to JNU for the closure of schemes for the study of social exclusion on a complaint by the body a case has been registered, police said on Thursday.
Delhi Police will probe who sent the forged letter ordering closure of JNU's Centre for the Study ofDiscrimination and Exclusion, a senior police officer said.

After the letter surfaced, the University GrantsCommission conducted an internal inquiry and it was found that the letter has forged signature and was faxed from somewhere in Mumbai, he said. However, the Commission doesn't have any center inMumbai. It is being probed from which number the letter was faxed, said the officer.
