Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said that 120 positive cases have been reported till this morning in the national capital. While addressing the media, the chief minster further added that a total of 766 people have been admitted to the hospitals out of which 112 cases are positive, rest are possibly infected and are being tested. "536 people, out of all those who were brought out of Markaz, have been admitted to hospitals. 1810 people have been put in isolation/quarantine. So, a total of 2346 have been brought out of Markaz," CM Arvind Kejriwal said.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also said that the government will track the mobile phones of people under quarantine to check their movement for which 14,345 phone numbers have been given to Delhi Police. "About 10 lakh poor people do not have ration card in Delhi. I request them to apply for the ration card on Delhi government's e-district website. They will not get the card but we will give them ration till #COVID19 issue persists," he further added.
Meanwhile, an active member of Tablighi Jamaat, who had attended the Delhi meeting of the organization, died at a private hospital in Hyderabad. There was no information or confirmation yet on the cause of death. Ahmed Abdul Muqeet died at Yashoda Hospital at Malakpet late on Tuesday.
A hospital spokesman told IANS that the state health authorities had collected samples from the body for coronavirus test and it is for them to announce if he died of Covid-19. Muqeet was under treatment at the private hospital for pneumonia and other ailments. His wife was also under treatment at the same hospital. The couple took ill four days ago and was admitted to the hospital. If confirmed, the death will be the seventh COVID-19 in Telangana.
