In a bid to stop coronavirus from spreading, Gurgaon district administration has ordered the closure of all weekly bazaars, all shopping malls, lounges and bars, and gyms in the millennium city till March 31. The district administration on Wednesday issued a notification, ordering closures of all multiplexes, cinema halls, theatres, night clubs, swimming pools, gymnasiums, and spas also in the city and elsewhere in the district.
Pharmacies, supermarkets, and grocery stores, however, have been exempted from the closure order, the notification said.
All restaurants having in-dining facility have been restricted to the capacity of 50 seats. Similarly, all gatherings including social, cultural, political and religious ones too have been restricted to a maximum of 50 persons.
Owners of salons, beauty parlours, and grooming centres have been asked to sanitize their premises and ensure the availability of sanitiser at their premises.
Besides, private cab operators have also been asked to decontaminate their vehicles frequently.
According to the order, the public dealing at government offices should also be minimized.
Any person contravening the order shall be punished under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, the notification said.
