The Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) 2017 housing scheme with 13,000 flats on offer will be rolled out on June 30, reports have said. The DDA representatives said on Tuesday that the brochure details are ready and all other modalities have been finalised.
“It must launch by mid-June as things seem to be in order. The scheme, which is linked to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, now has every logical detail in place, from brochure printing to bank partnering,” a senior official said.
Most of the flats that are on offer are in Dwarka in southwest, Rohini and Pitampura in northwest, Vasant Kunj, Jasola, and Sarita Vihar in south Delhi, Dilshad Garden in northeast, Mukherjee Nagar in north and Narela in outer Delhi.
13,148 flats are on offer in all categories and LIG and Janta flats are the highest in number. Most of these flats have been unoccupied after the 2014 scheme, while more than 2000 were vacated by people.
DDA has tie up with 10 banks, including Axis, Yes, IDBI, Bank of Baroda, Central, SBI, Kotak Mahindra, HDFC, ICICI, and Canara Bank, for selling the forms and other details.
The registration fee is Rs 1 lakh for LIG category and Rs two lakh for MIG and HIGs. Application forms are available online.
